    Have fun while learning and growing at home.

    If you’re stressed about finding ways to keep your kids engaged and learning at home, you’re not alone. To help you out, we’ve put together a list of fun and entertaining games and resources that encourage STEM learning and reading at home.

    JetBlue Foundation.

    Founded in 2013 as a company sponsored 501(c)(3) non-profit, the JetBlue Foundation was created to help students place aviation top-of-mind as a career choice by igniting interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) programs.  Here are some fun resources provided by our partners to help encourage STEM learning at home.     • Science Buddies offers fun, hands-on STEM activities! Materials are easy to find, most activities take an hour or less and the STEM learning is limitless.

    • New York Hall of Science at-home resources encourage open-ended exploration, imaginative learning, personal relevance, deep engagement and delight for all age ranges.

    • Museum of Discovery and Science offers Scientist Discovery right at home! This resource offers access to high-quality, award-winning documentary films for viewing on streaming platforms.
    • Orlando Science Center has compiled a list of activities and resources to help make the most of your time with the ultimate playlist for curious minds.

    Since 2011, JetBlue’s award award-winning literacy initiative is designed to encourage kids’ imagination to take flight through reading.  Here are some free fun resources to help encourage reading and learning at home. Visit Soar With Reading for even more resources.

    • Search for your local library to access free downloadable eBooks and audio books for your entire family.
    • First Book offers free at-home activities for Pre-kindergarten through Grade 8 in both English and Spanish.
    • Scholastic Learn at Home offers daily courses for students from Pre-kindergarten to Grades 6 and higher.
    • Candlewick Press resource guide is filled with downloadable links to information, fun things to do and more!
    • Little Bee Books offers a variety of free activities for kids of all ages.
    • Story Time From Space: Astronauts on the Space Station read stories and conduct science experiments for children as the world rotates below.
    • Story Online streams videos featuring famous actors reading children’s books alongside creatively produced illustrations.
    • Audible offers kids a collection of free audio books, including titles across six different languages.

    With classrooms closed, it can be tough to get the support and opportunities your child needs. Use some of the resources below to help with homework, dive deeper into topics, or explore new concepts.

    • JetBlue Jr. offers an educational video series for kids with bite-sized courses on everything from vocabulary to physics.

    • Khan Academy online tools for students across all grades and in diverse subject matters.
