2022 Behavioral Health coverage changes.
Starting January 1, 2022, a change in Behavioral Health coverage simplifies your claims experience.
Administration of inpatient and outpatient services and claims for Mental Health, Substance Use and ABA Therapy now run through your JetBlue Medical Business Partner—either Anthem BlueCross BlueShield (Anthem) or UnitedHealthcare (UHC). Optum will no longer process Behavioral Health claims beginning January 1, 2022.
How this transition impacts you if you are…
- Enrolled in Anthem:
- You will have a new provider network.
- If your current behavioral health provider through Optum is not in-network with Anthem, there is a transition of care benefit. If you think you should receive this benefit, call Anthem.
- Enrolled in UHC:
- You will have the same provider network as in 2021.
- Be sure to confirm that your behavioral health provider is still in-network before receiving care.
