Q: Where can I access the app?

A Though you won’t find this app in your device’s app store, it’s easy to get.

Visit app.lifeisbetterinblue.com on your mobile device to access the app. Once you register, you can save the app to your home screen for easy access.

Q: What do I need to register for the app?

A Click “Register” on the home screen to get started. From there, you will need to enter your JetBlue email address, a password of your choice and click “Submit.” Then, check your JetBlue email for an activation link on your mobile device, enter your JetBlue email address and the password you selected, and begin browsing!

Q: Who can use the app?

A Anyone who is eligible for Benefits through JetBlue can access the app.

Q: What devices can I use the app on?

The BlueBenefits App is made for browsers on modern mobile devices, such as the latest Apple, Android and BlackBerry devices. How it looks and performs depends on your tablet or smartphone’s ability to access the internet and display the site content. Here is a list of most mobile devices that support the BlueBenefits App.

Q: How do I bookmark the app to my smartphone?

A The way you bookmark the app depends on the device you are using, here are some instructions for iOS, Android and Blackberry devices (the exact sequence may vary depending on your device):

  • iOS:
    1. Navigate to the app login page.
    2. Press the “share” icon (it looks like a rectangle with an arrow bursting out) in the Safari toolbar. That toolbar appears at the top or bottom of the page depending on which version of the iOS you’re using.
    3. In the menu that appears, press the “Add to Home Screen” option to place the app’s icon on your home screen.
  • Android:
    1. Navigate to the app login page.
    2. Press the menu button and choose “Bookmarks”, add the login page to the list.
    3. Once it’s added, select it from the same browser menu and press down on it until a new menu appears.
    4. Press the “Add shortcut to Home” option to place the app’s icon on your home screen.
  • Blackberry:
    1. Navigate to the app login page.
    2. Press the Blackberry icon key (looks like this: https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQg5CVVfutxpgsRDt9x21okGZPtvGWyC8jFSijxygvM-tBD-HM9) until a menu pops up.
      • To change the name of the shortcut, type a new name.
      • To change the location of the shortcut, edit the location field.
      • To add it to your favorites panel, select the “Mark as Favorite” checkbox.
    3. Click “Add” to place the app’s icon on your home screen.

Q: What can I use the app for?

A You can use the app to easily access your BlueBenefits plan information. Through this tool, you can:

  • Check your current Benefits Enrollment and JetBlue’s contributions to your Benefits.
  • Contact BlueBenefits — and request a response by phone or email — for any JetBlue Benefits question.
  • Access contact information such as phone numbers and websites for your Benefits providers.
  • Save a photo of your ID cards.
  • Save your primary care physician’s address and phone number for the next time you have an appointment.
  • And much more!

Q:  What can’t I use the app for?

A The app has some limits, here’s what you can’t use the App for:

  • Enrolling yourself or your family members in Benefits.
  • Requesting a Life Event Change (but you can email BlueBenefits via the app if you have questions about the process).
  • Checking Medical, Dental and Vision claims.
  • Making a new plan account or changes to your current account.
  • Requesting a leave of absence.

Q: Are my personal details and information I save on the app secure?

AYour privacy is important to us. The BlueBenefits App receives a secure feed directly from JetBlue with your personal information and enrollment details. The app never stores that information, just displays it when you log in. Information you save on the app — such as ID cards, preferred facilities and doctors —  are saved on a secure server that is called up each time you log in. Your information never shared with anyone.

Q: What if I have technical issues running the app on my device?

AIf you experience technical issues, here are some tips to make the app run more smoothly:

  • Check the list above to be sure your device is compatible.
  • Update your device’s operating system and/or browser to be the most current possible.
  • Be sure your phone is set to not use cookies.
  • Make sure your device is not in private browsing mode, which prevents some functions from working correctly. To turn off private browsing on an iPhone, open Safari and tap the icon with two stacked squares in the lower right corner. Tap “Private” to turn private browsing off. If you’re on an iPad, tap the blue plus icon at the top right corner, then tap “Private.”
